Free Marketing Tips On How To Get Googlebot,Yahoo, and MSNbot Web Crawler To Your Website in 7 days!
This always seems to be a hard question to answer when marketing because Googlebot,Yahoo and MSNbot and other search engine web crawlers have the ability to crawl your site a different times.
But if you have a self hosted blog with say WordPress or Blogger for example with a pinging service integrated, then almost immediately the search engines are notified of your updates made on your website.
So with this in mind I conducted a test recently with 1 of my blogs which happens to be my personal blog to see how long would it take a web crawler to visit my site.
My Googlebot Experience was as follows:
I typically post and update my blog every 4-5 days with new content. I noticed on my cpanel backoffice of hostgator that for instance on the June 4th after posting to the blog, Googlebot crawled it literally 4 days later which was quite fast!! I imagined that it would take up to 30 days for Google to notice it which is about the norm.
On June 10th, I added a new post and then another on the 14th and like clockwork it seems Google crawled it again fairly quick in just 4 days. Results? After adding my 1st post on the blog I appeared in on Google’s search engine on the very 1st page with one specific keyword! My website traffic started to increase within must 4 days.
Simple Google Marketing Tips:
One tip I know will get Googlebot to crawl your site is to have a Gmail acct. Post also to the updates or profile section with a link pointing back your website. This update will not be shared with your Gmail connections/contacts but also Google will crawl your site. Try these suggestions and see how fast the Googlebot crawls your website!
How about Yahooslurp spider crawler?
Well I learned some marketing tips that will almost always gets Yahoo to crawl your site even before manually submiting it. If you have a Yahoo email account, simply add a little content under your profile updates section of yahoo with a link pointing back to your site. Within 24-48hrs Yahoo will crawl your site and it could be indexed quickly like my blog was. But of course this is not my personal promise because I don’t own nor work for Yahoo. This is only my personal experience and it could work for you if tried.
My Experience with MSNbot Spider Crawler?
With Bing service, I must admit it did take a farely longtime for my blog to get crawled by the MSNbot. But why? I don’t really know why exactly so I did some research and I found out according to this article (click here to see it) that even MSN admits that they are pretty slow when it comes to their spider crawler.
Following the same simple marketing tips mentioned above, I started a hotmail account and I decided to try the same suggestion of posting a like back to my website from my Hotmail Profile page. Result? Within about 6 days of trying this MSN web crawler made a visit to my surprise and my site was indexed with MSN!!
But maybe you wonder why start 3 different accounts? Well its quite simple. Anything you update via email, search engines will monitor. This also creates more backlinks to your website which in turns makes your site more popular to Search Engines. Most email profiles now have the ability to repost the content also on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter for more exposure. You can simply forward these emails to 1 primary account without having to check all of them which saves you time.
More popularity = More Website Traffic = More Exposure To Business = SALES!
