Federal Seog Loans
FASFA verefication HELP!?
I did not submit my verification in time so the only thing i got as TAP. I finally submitted the verification last week and it got processed. I recieved an amount for my PELL Grant but it still says
CUNY has reviewed your FAFSA for the awarding of additional financial aid such as Federal Work Study, Federal SEOG, or Federal Perkins Loans and has found the following problem:
Your file was not complete and ready for CUNY to offer you a financial aid package the last time campus-based (ex. Federal Work Study, or Federal SEOG, or Federal Perkins Loans) financial aid was offered.

What does that mean and how will that affect me? (workstudy, further aid)
It is a warning that if you want more financial aid for next academic year like free SEOG grant, get the best and lowest interest rate federal loan the Perkins, and have the opportunity to work and earn money (Work Study) that doesn’t count against you the following year when you apply for financial aid you had better get your rear in gear next year and submit your fafsa and all the verification worksheets before the schools deadline.
Lets see what you may have lost out of my not filling out the verification forms in on time…

SEOG is a free grant from 100 to 4,000.
ACG is free grant is up to 1,300
national SMART grant is up to 4,000
Work Study has no limits…but is usually 15 – 20 hours a week of income from working on campus.
Perkins loan is up to 5,500
Not to mention any STATE grants you may have missed out on.
Wow that has the potential to be is a lot of money !!!!
