Using a cell phone locator to track down cell phone numbers

If you want to trace a cell phone’s location then you can only do 1 thing. You use a software program which you can easily install on to your computer, and trace down the location (with map) from a cell phone.

All you have to do is to enter a phone number (area code in the left field, the rest in the right field) and select a country (the default is the USA, but it works for any country) and click the start-searching button.

Another, more modern and accurate way a cell phone locator service works is through GPS (Global Position System). This service is also available to emergency services. In addition to emergency personnel being able to locate a cellular phone with this service, it is available to private individuals.

There are two possible ways to locate cell phone users. In the network-based system, a distress call from a wireless phone triggers modules at the three or more nearby cellular antennas. Each module records the time the caller’s signal reached the antenna, and the location of the caller is determined by “triangulating” the caller’s distance from the receivers.

After connecting to the nearest satellite, the system locates the target phone (which does NOT need to be equipped with any form of GPS technology), and presents you with a satellite image that zooms in on the phone’s location.

If you install Google Latitude on your cell phone and you have a friend, family member, business associate, or employee install the app on their phone, you will both be able to track each other by looking at the Google Map on your reverse cell phone lookup.  You can’t simply look at the map on your cell phone’s screen and if your friend has their phone turned on and the Google Latitude application running, you will see a little picture icon overlaying the map that shows your friends exact location.
